Design, situation, brief and initial specification

 

Design SituationThe advertising industry is worth millions of pounds. Advertising includes logos, packaging, point of sale displays, websites and television and radio adverts. Big international companies like Sony and Microsoft spend millions of pounds each year on advertising. Even smaller companies spend a large portion of their budget on a good advertising campaigns.  Design BriefI am going to redesign the logo for Sony. I will also design and make a piece of packaging for one of their products the Sony VAIO laptop and design and make a point of sale display for that product. Initial SpecificationMy products will have or do the following;Display the product that is for saleBe eye catchingShow to product in an exciting wayAppeal to the target audience

what do most logos have in comment...

most logos are made of 4 coulours blue, red , yellow and green. these are the primary coulours. Also they are reconisable at a glance and simple so that you dont have so much to take in when you see it. Most of them have a simple shape like a tick of an M.
